Former Australian Test fast bowler James Pattinson will join Oakleigh Cricket Club for the 2023/24 season.
Pattinson, who made his international debut for Australia in 2010, has represented his country in all three formats of the game and was widely considered one of the premier fast bowlers in the world.
In his Test career, Pattinson claimed 81 wickets in just 21 matches at an average of 26.33. He has also captured 16 wickets in 15 One Day Internationals (ODIs) at 42.56, and 3 wickets in 4 Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) at an average of 34.66.
Pattinson has also had success at the domestic level, representing Victoria, Melbourne Renegades & Brisbane Heat in the Sheffield Shield and Big Bash League respectively. In the Sheffield Shield, he captured 350 wickets in 89 matches at an average of 23.52. In the BBL, he has taken 35 wickets in 31 matches with a best of 5/33.
Pattinson most recently played for English County side Nottinghamshire last year, where he took 33 wickets at 29.21 and made 239 runs at 29.87 on their way to the Division Two crown.
In addition to his impressive statistics, Pattinson is known for his ability to generate high speeds and swing the ball. He was consistently one of the fastest bowlers in the Australian team and consistently clocked speeds in excess of 145 km/h.

Pattinson will become Oakleigh Cricket Club's third Australian Test representative alongside Lindsay Kline and current Australian leg-spinner, Alana King.
