Pattinson has also had success at the domestic level, representing Victoria, Melbourne Renegades & Brisbane Heat in the Sheffield Shield and Big Bash League respectively. In the Sheffield Shield, he captured 350 wickets in 89 matches at an average of 23.52. In the BBL, he has taken 35 wickets in 31 matches with a best of 5/33.

In addition to his impressive statistics, Pattinson is known for his ability to generate high speeds and swing the ball. He was consistently one of the fastest bowlers in the Australian team and consistently clocked speeds in excess of 145 km/h.

Oakleigh Cricket Club President, Peter Webb, has expressed his excitement about the signing, “We are thrilled to have someone of James’s caliber join our club. He is not only a world-class fast bowler, but he will be a great leader and role model for our young players.”

With his experience and skill, James Pattinson is sure to be a valuable asset to the club and will be looking to make an impact in the 2023/24 season.

Pattinson will become Oakleigh Cricket Club's third Australian Test representative alongside Lindsay Kline and current Australian leg-spinner, Alana King.

Oakleigh Cricket Club looks forward to welcoming James, his wife Kayla and their two girls, Lilah & Elsie to the Oakleigh family next season and seeing James take the field with long-time friend and Oakleigh CC 1st XI captain, Ryan Pearson. Photo Credit:
